2It’s the largest greenfield festival in the world and undisputedly the most famous.

Taking place from 22 to 26 June, around 135,000 people will descend upon Worthy Farm in Somerset to listen to the likes of Adele, Coldplay and Muse at Glastonbury 2016.

Established in 1970, it became a regular fixture in 1981 and remains as notorious now as it was in its heyday. Tickets, costing £228, sold out in 30 minutes back in October.

Glastonbury has become synonymous with fashion as festival goers embrace the free spirit and hippy ethos of the event.

Here we look back at our favourite ever Glastonbury fashion, and yes it does include a lot of Kate…..and Sienna. Getting your Glastonbury outfit right takes careful planning and celebs go all out to ensure they stand out. The look is a mixture of luxe boho with 70s siren thrown in.

More recently, of course, the likes of style queen Kate Moss and boho babe Sienna Miller have provided the festival’s most memorable fashion moments.

Whether or not Kate will be attending this year with her on/off younger beau Count Nikolai von Bismarck, 28, remains to be seen. The 42-year-old catwalk model was noticeably absent from last year’s festival, after splitting from her husband of four years, Kills guitarist Jamie Hince, last July.

So if you’re going to Glastonbury (or any other festival) this summer, then don’t forget to pack these beauty essentials to keep you fresh and fashionable and our survival must-haves for all under £15.

1Cersei and Margaery in prison and Daenerys in the desert for the majority of this season of Game of Thrones, there haven’t been many fashion statements to swoon over of late. But that all changed in last night’s explosive finale.

In the action-packed The Wind of Winter there was wildfire carnage among many other plot-line shockers. Winter arrived at last, Arya finally got her revenge, Jon Snow was crowned king of The North and Queen Cersei unexpectedly took the Iron Throne – wearing an ornate, high neck gown that set social media alight.
Perhaps thinking about that old mantra dress for the job you want, not the job you’ve got, Cersei’s leather dress was the total embodiment of one woman’s triumph over adversity; the culmination of years of hard work and covert plotting. Gone were the hessian sack dresses she’s been in all season; in their place the intricate armoured leather, which told the world she was a fighter. The crystal epaulettes on her shoulders were shaped like roaring lions – the Lannister sigil. Her chains which connected her armouring harked back to her prison chains, showing she was free from the shackles which had once put her at the mercy of her captors.

10The busty daughter of comedian Les cheekily flashed her legs and her boobs as she posed for pictures at her friend’s wedding in Blackpool recently.

At one point the brunette beauty lifted up her leg and thrust it across the bride, with the smiling groom holding on to her ankle.

Gaz Beadle ‘threesome’
Charlotte Dawson and Olivia WalshCharlotte Dawson and Olivia Walsh
It was reported in April that Gaz Beadle enjoyed an “unforgettable” threesome with model Charlotte Dawson and Olivia Walsh while filming the new series of Ex On The Beach.

While the star is yet to comment on the claims, he hasn’t denied them – and it ultimately led to him breaking up with Charlotte Crosby.

“Gaza and the girls barely knew each other, but they were determined to make this the raunchiest series of Ex on the Beach ever and jumped into bed with each other pretty much as soon as the cameras were on,” a source previously told The Sun.

“It was a total free for all and even though Gaz has slept with over 1,000 women – this will be a night he never forgets. He definitely wasn’t thinking about how Charlotte C may feel.”

Charlotte Dawson was reportedly caught performing a sex act on Vicky Pattison’s ex Stephen Bear on Ex On The Beach.

According to The Sun , she had grown close to Stephen – with the pair becoming “intimate” on screen, as they film the upcoming series.

A source told Mirror Online: “Charlotte and Bear do go on a date and hit it off very well.”

That moment she fondles scantily-clad BFF Jess Hayes

Love Island babe Jessica Hayes gave onlookers a right eyeful as she partied with BFF Charlotte Dawson in February.

And their night ended like this.

The reality TV babes hit Gilgamesh in Camden for an early Valentine’s Day party and made quite the exit from the bash in their sexy ensembles.

At one point the brunette stunner looked like she was holding on to Jess’ dress for dear life as she fought to keep her friend from exposing herself. Unfortunately not everything remained under wraps though with the Love Island winner’s knickers making an appearance for the cameras.

Hanging off her neck the friends looked like they might end up on the floor at one point, but managed to keep it together.

6Celebs have been upsizing and shunning bodycon dresses in favour of what we’re labelling the ‘sexy sack’. Basically an oversized version of a maxi, it’s shaping up to be the dress of the summer.

Pop princess Kylie Minogue and Game of Thrones star Zawe Ashton have both been spotted in Stella McCartney designs, the designer responsible for starting this trend.

48-year-old Kylie showcased a yellow one-shoulder Stella gown at the Victoria and Albert Museum summer party last night.

Fresh Meat star Zawe, 31, wore a beautiful white tiered gown from the designer at this year’s Olivier Awards.

And even super model Kate Moss, 42, shunned her usual rock chic look for a big floaty floral number. The style queen did however, give hers a sexy twist by layering it over a leopard print body.

Here’s where to get the look on the high street.

Notebook’s beauty editor Lynne Hyland trials the Supersonic, the first ever Dyson beauty gadget, which promises it will revolutionise your hair styling regime when it launches in the UK in June.

But is it really worth the crazy price tag?

Dyson is already a master at sucking, but now the vacuum maker is about to turn to the art of blowing with the launch of its Supersonic hairdryer.

It’s is the result of over £50 million of research, which involved the construction of a dedicated beauty lab , where over 1,000 MILES of human hair were used to try out a staggering 600 prototype dryers.

Now that’s a pretty extreme way to go in search of a good hair day.

UK women (because let’s face it, men won’t be buying this) will be able to get their hands on the Supersonic in June, but I got my own preview to find out whether it’s worth the £299 price tag.

Yes, this is Dyson. Did you think it was going to come cheap?

I won’t bore you with the hardcore science, but here’s the difference in a nutshell.

Dyson reckons it’s managed to combine an ultra-powerful, directed airflow (like those fancy rapid hand-dryers) with a heat-protection sensor that stops the temperature ever reaching the point where your hair gets shredded.

5With her chic new hair cut Victoria Beckham is looking cooler than ever. VB unveiled her short bob , which was cut by celeb hair stylist Luke Hersheson, on her Instagram account last month.

Usually dressed head to toe in fashionable navy, grey and black, the fashion designer has also changed her style of late.

Stepping out in NYC, the 42-year-old surprised everyone in a bright colour-block outfit. Victoria’s red jumper was one of her new designs, costing £595. Thankfully you can find a similar look for a fraction of the price.

The former Spice Girl accessorised her outfit with a pair of cool black sunglasses and elegant nude heels.

Perfect for our on/off summer weather, here’s where to get her look on the high street .

Silvikrin ambassador and celebrity hairstylist Michael Douglas reveals how to keep your hair happy and well behaved on your travels.

Michael Douglas, hairdresserMichael Douglas shares his holiday hair hacks
1. Get your hair trimmed just before you go
“If you don’t get rid of broken ends in advance, the effects of sun and sea will make splits travel further and faster up your hair,” says Michael. “Taking off all the dead ends will help seal your hair against damage and also make it much easier to manage while you’re away.”

2. Colour at least a week before your holiday
“Don’t book a last minute emergency appointment,” says Michael. “Dye will damage the surface of your hair and the last thing it needs is for you go and sit straight in the sunshine.” If your roots are truly unbearable, you could do a DIY parting-only touch up with Clairol Root Touch Up, £4.28.

3. Strengthen hair ready for the sun
Maria Nila True Soft MasqueMaria Nila True Soft Masque
“If your hair is packed with moisture, it’ll absorb fewer drying and discolouring minerals from the swimming pool water,” says Michael. “Add in a good treatment mask to your regime and try to lay off dehydrating heat styling in the run-up to your holiday.” Notebook loves Maria Nila True Soft Masque, £18.95 which has UV and colour protection.

4. Top knot it for the pool
Catherine HarbourTop knotYour go-to poolside style
A top knot is the perfect pool-side hair style, says Michael. “You can keep water out of your hair if you’re doing a lazy breast stroke, but it won’t collapse if you get it wet,” he says. “Plus it looks elegant in holiday photos as it elongates your neck.”

Wella HairspraySilvikrin Flexible Hold Hairspray
To do it, tip your head upside and spray with Silvikrin Flexible Hold Hairspray, from £2.29, to help you scoop up all the hair,’ says Michael. “Put it all into a ‘pineapple’ on top of your head and secure with a band, but don’t pull it too tight or it’ll give you a headache. Then twist it round and until it folds in on itself, pin with three kirby grips and spray one last time.”

5. Tie your hair up safely
Don’t use waxed bands – or worse still, an actual rubber band – to tie your hair up on holiday.

“I see a lot of clients coming home with snapped-off hair and needing an emergency fringe cut to disguise the damage,” says Michael. “Always use a soft, stretchy hairband.”

Popband has some cute new designs and hey, if you can’t wear flamingos and unicorns in your hair on holiday when can you?

4Lots of shoppers are in a tizz about ASOS’ site crashing

On the day that half the nation mourns the impending exit of the UK out of the EU, two major retailers are left reeling from their own dose of Brexit bad luck.

Online fashion giant ASOS ‘ site has crashed and people are losing it as a consequence.

It’s been well over 12 hours since the website and app first encountered problems, and disgruntled shoppers have taken to Twitter (as you do) to vent their discontent.

At the time of publishing this article the site remains down… Could this be Brexit bad luck striking again?

Brexit ‘would cost Brits £580 a year as price of food, drink, petrol and clothing rocket’
Elsewhere in the social stratosphere high street fashion store Dorothy Perkins came a cropper when someone on their social team seemed to forget that the EU referendum results were being released on the day they sent out this positively perky post:

“Woo! Who has that #FridayFeeling?”

To which Twitter responded in suitable fashion:

3We’re coming up to high summer (we think…) and wedding season is now in full swing, so if you’re looking for a colour to sport this season, make sure it’s peach.

The sweet shade is having a moment and it’s good news for those of you, who aren’t keen on blush and nudes. The warmer tones look great with metallic accessories or clashed with a brighter pair of heels. And don’t forget to pack a bikini or dress in this hue for your holiday – it looks great with a tan.
